 RIDE FOR LIFE
The David Bland Ride for Life will be held on 24th October 2010. Tentative plans are to start at the Hawthorn velodrome on Gardiner’s Creek (Melway 59 E3) at 2 pm. The ride will follow the Gardiner’s Creek and Yarra bike paths to the Federation Bells in Birrarung Marr (Melway 2F K6) and then return to the Velodrome around 4:00pm for a picnic/BBQ. The total ride is approximately 17 km and will suit riders of all abilities including families with young children.
Information and an entry form will be available soon.
The programme for the Ride on 24th October will be available approximately 1 week before the ride.

Last year we released 110 orange balloons in memory of David's epic effort in riding 110 laps of the velodrome when he was about 6 years old. Last year, the balloons were very generously supplied by the East Malvern Party Shop (now at 309 Waverley Rd, East Malvern, tel 9571 0039).
